this past weekend travis and i went on a retreat with our church. i never seem to get enough pictures, but here are a few. (isn't travis' expression great!) it was a really fun weekend and i'm glad we were able to go.
Beautiful. Really you and I should go shoot sometime. The key to taking "enough" pictures (or rather over-shooting in my world) is to just carry a camera with you at all times. I nearly always have at least my point and shoot digital on me. People around me have gotten very accustomed to there being a camera on my face (I once did a study in self portrait, and I had my camera in my face because that's how the world frequently sees me and that's how I'm most comfortable). And in a way, I see them getting more comfortable with photos being taken in all situations. It's good for them because so many people shy away from having their photo taken even candidly. And it changes the way I see the world too.
“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.”
